A Vampire's Romance: The Dreadful Beginning
Chapter Three: Helena's Surprise

He was right. I woke up from a dreamless sleep. It was a peaceful morning. The sun was shining through my window. It was still drizzling, but the morning was so.....beautiful. I yawn and notice that he was gone. I was thankful for that because he was getting on my nerves.

I jump off my bed, and walk into the bathroom. I brush my teeth, wash my face, took a long warm shower, and I wrap a towel around my body and walk out. I went back into my room, clueless what I was going to wear for school. What school???? I look at my calendar. It was Monday, October 1st. I turn on my cell phone and looks at the time. It was 9:00 am!! I only have fifteen minutes to get to school! I was going to start panicking when Aunt Levy came and said, "Its okay, I'll drive you there." I was happy to hear that, because Aunt Levy was a real fast driver, (even though she was kind of reckless when it came to drunk driving). She was sober now. I was kind of glad.

I quickly change into a pink shirt, and matching skirt. I wasn't hungry, so I skip breakfast, and hurry to the car. I was exhausted when I got there. (I had to run from the third floor to the front of the apartment). I love my aunt's car. It's a black Porsche. It was beautiful. She named it Black Beauty. Aunt Levy was sitting on the driver's seat, ready to hit the road. "C'mon Helen! You're going to be late!" she rushes me, as I placed my small black bag in the back seat. I hop in the front seat and slam the door.

After the short ride to school, I was about to walk into the building until Levy pull me back. "What happen?" I ask. "I have something for you," she said as she hand me a navy blue box. "Don't open it until you see Michaela," she said. Then she drove off.

I was confused. Was I supposed to open it? Was I supposed to give this to Michaela? Who was it for, and why? I hurried to class. Fortunately I beat the bell. I wasn't late. I had to wait until lunch to see Michaela.
Finally lunch came, and I spotted her leaning on our tree (our hang out spot). She wasn't alone. Frankie was there too. (Frankie is Michaela's crush. We think that there's a possibility that he likes her back. He was always shy around her.) "Hmmm... may be he's making his move. Oh well," I muttered to myself as I step in between the two.

"Hey Michaela. What's this??" I greet her. I ignore Frankie. "Go away! Frankie was about to ask me something. Let's meet up at your house," she hisses at me. "Apartment." I correct her. I walk away from them, and went to go eat lunch. School went by quick. After our dismissal, I rush to my bus and save a seat for Michaela. She beat me there, and was sitting with Frankie. I sat in front of them, by myself. I listen to my ipod on the ride home.

Finally we were at our bus stop. Michaela and I hurried upstairs to the apartment and ran into the kitchen, where Levy was. "I thought you had to work today." I said to Levy. "Oh just open it!" she rushes me again. I open the box. It was a beautiful diamond necklace. Aunt Levy purchases this. "What's this for??" I ask them. "SURPRISE!!" they shout. I had a blank face. I was still confused. "Your birthday is coming up and since you're about to turn sixteen...” Michaela reminds me. "No! I don't want a sweet sixteen!" I yell at them. "You deserve this. You've been going through a hard time ever since your parents died. We want you to be happy. Now you're going to have some fun with your friends in this party!" Levy said. "How are you going to afford it?" I ask. "I can. I've been saving up for years," Levy explains. I sigh. I close the box, and walk to my room.

"LEVY!!!!!" I scream. She didn't. "Nice dress," Michaela smirks. I flash a glare at her. "Whatever. So what's up with you and Frankie?" I ask her, changing the subject. "He asks me out! Oh is it okay that I invite him and a few friends at the sweet sixteen?" she said. "Whatever." I roll my eyes. She hugs me very tightly, squeezing every bit of air out of my lungs. "Air-NEED-AIR" I suffocated. "Oh sorry," she apologize. We ate dinner and kept talking until it was late. Aunt Levy decides to give her a ride home, so I was home alone.
I hope you enjoyed chapter three. chaper four is coming.
